Tyson Beem joined the Los Angeles office of GR&F in 1998 shortly after graduating from the University of Southern California. Tyson obtained his CPA license in 2003, was named a partner in 2012 and the CEO in 2022.

Recognized as one of the entertainment industry’s top business managers by The Hollywood Reporter, Variety and Billboard, he has a unique perspective to offer a diversified roster of clients including directors, producers, actors, writers, composers, recording artists/performers, singer/songwriters and executives.

Outside of work, Tyson coaches his son’s local travel baseball team and is an enthusiastic supporter of the University of Southern California and USC athletics.

A career Business Manager and leader in the industry for the past 35 years, Todd Gelfand is an alumnus of the University of California Berkeley with a B.A. in accounting.  Todd started his journey at the international accounting firm Coopers & Lybrand (“C&L”), where he gained significant experience in international taxation culminating in two years spent in the London offices of C&L. In 1989, Todd relocated to Los Angeles, where he joined GR&F.

Todd served as CEO at Gelfand Rennert & Feldman for more than 20 years, seeing the company expand into new locations in Nashville and London and growing the firm to more than 600 employees under his leadership. Todd stepped down as CEO in 2022 and now oversees a select group of clients in music and television.

Todd leads efforts with The Judy Fund, named for Todd’s mother Judy and founded by his father Marshall Gelfand, the founding Partner of Gelfand Rennert & Feldman. The Judy Fund has raised more than $10 million for research and development into finding a cure for Alzheimer’s.

Cary MacMiller is a Managing Director at Gelfand, Rennert & Feldman LLC, joining the Los Angeles office in 2005. From 1999 through 2005, he was associated with Breslauer and Rutman, LLC and was a partner since 2000.

Cary’s roster of clients consists of high-net-worth individuals and industry executives, musicians and financial executives. He provides his clients with management of their business and personal financial affairs, as well as assisting them with any special purchases or construction projects, working with his clients to ensure that their long-term financial goals and planning are met.

Cary graduated from California State University Northridge in 1985 with a degree in accounting.

Grady Brown is a Managing Director at Gelfand, Rennert & Feldman LLC.

Grady joined the Los Angeles office of  GR&F in 2008, and was named Managing Director in 2020.  Prior to that, Grady worked as a tax accountant at a regional tax firm, gaining valuable experience in domestic and international taxation for businesses and individuals.  He has more than 20 years of tax and business management experience, which he uses to assist his clients in achieving their short- and long-term goals.

His diverse roster of clients includes Grammy-winning and Platinum-selling recording artists, touring musicians, Hollywood directors, film producers, TV personalities, and other high net-worth individuals.

Grady holds a Bachelors Degree from the University of Oklahoma and lives in Calabasas with his wife and two children.

Christopher Fazzolari

Christopher Fazzolari joined Gelfand, Rennert & Feldman (“GR&F”) in 2002 and co-heads GR&F’s Royalty Group that includes 9 main practice areas (music examination, merchandising examination, film/tv examination, valuations, catalog sale consulting, label administration, publishing administration, royalty services and royalty data intelligence). He jointly oversees over 60 staff members spread across GR&F’s LA, NY and Nashville offices, as well as other remote locations.

Over his 20+ year career, Christopher has directed hundreds of domestic and international engagements on behalf of recording artists, songwriters, music publishers, merchandise licensors, celebrities, and other intellectual property rights holders. His clients include many Multi-Platinum and Grammy award winning artists, Academy Award winners and Fortune 500 companies.

During his career, Christopher has conducted successful royalty, profit participation and joint venture examinations throughout North America, Europe, Asia, and Australia. The companies that he has examined include record labels, music publishers, merchandisers, digital media companies, fashion companies, cable television networks and other companies. He also specializes in providing IP consulting services for contract negotiations, catalog sales, financial due diligence, valuations, and royalty platform reviews.

Christopher received his BS in Finance from Towson University. He has been honored with a variety of entertainment industry accolades including being listed on Billboard and Variety’s top Business Manager lists. Christopher also participates in events with a number of industry trade groups, including the Association of Independent Music Publishers (AIMP), Licensing Industry Merchandiser’s Association (LIMA), International Trademark Association (INTA), American Bar Association (ABA), Copyright Society of the USA (CSUSA) and Trusted Advisor.

Mark graduated from the University of Arizona in 2007 with a B.S. in Accounting before continuing his education and graduating with a Masters of Business Taxation degree from the University of Southern California in 2008.  Mark 2009 and was named Managing Director in 2018.

Mark’s roster of clients consists of touring musicians, producers,  record labels, film and television personalities, entrepreneurs, and high-net-worth individuals.

His tax expertise, financial acumen and hands-on approach for his client’s business affairs allows him to assist and successfully steward his clients’ short- and long-term goals.

He has deep expertise in the music industry, managing the business affairs and overseeing touring for a wide range of Grammy Award® winning and Rock & Roll Hall of Fame™ artists and bands.

Bill’s music and touring practice handles some of the biggest names in music. His

key personal and professional relationships with industry leaders, including managers, agents, promoters and vendors, lends his clients a hands-on approach that makes him a sought-after authority in this arena.

As an expert in international tax withholding requirements, mitigation and compliance, he has developed and implemented best practices for the firm in tour accounting and client reporting.

Bill has been recognized by The Hollywood Reporter, Variety and Billboard Magazines as one of the industry’s top Business Managers.

Enza Cohn is a Managing Director of Gelfand, Rennert & Feldman LLC., with over 30 years of business management and tax experience, starting as an intern at the Internal Revenue Service, where she garnered a knowledge base that continues to serve her throughout her career.

She began her formal tax accounting career as an accountant at KPMG, quickly becoming a CPA as she navigated the business world to see where she would fit in best.  Enza ran the tax department at GR&F and then became a business manager before moving to a new business management firm where she became a partner, eventually returning to GR&F where she now runs a high-net-worth practice.

Enza was born and raised in Los Angeles, California, and attended the California State University Northridge where she received her BS in Business Administration with a specialty in Accounting and Finance.  Enza is a member of the California Society of Public Accountants.

Enza has been recognized by The Hollywood Reporter and Variety as one of the industry’s top Business Managers, and was most recently honored as a Woman of Influence by Los Angeles Business Journal.

Enza loves taking walks with her husky Delue and hanging out in Porter Ranch with her husband – and when they visit – her two grown children.

Michael Sloan is a Managing Director at Gelfand, Rennert and Feldman LLC.

Michael’s clients are comprised of TV and Film personalities both in front of and behind the camera. His clients have been nominated for some of the entertainment industry’s most prestigious awards, with some taking home Academy Awards, Golden Globes and Emmys. Michael also works with high-net-worth individuals, many of whom achieved their wealth through the entertainment industry.

Michael was born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio and then attended the University of Cincinnati where he received a Bachelors of Business Administration with a major in accounting. Upon graduation, Michael moved to Southern California where he obtained his CPA license. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the California Society of Certified Public Accountants.

Michael has worked at firms of all sizes throughout his career, where he has obtained extensive expertise in tax, pension plans, investments, real estate, commercial and business lines of insurance, and being an outsourced CFO. Michael enjoys, the assistance of a stellar staff to help service his clients who also have numerous employees. He loves finding solutions regarding casualty insurance matters.

One of Michael’s greatest joys is taking great pride in mentoring and training his fellow staff and seeing their growth and success. Michael teaches the importance of being a great communicator, and believes in the power of both written and spoken communication.

Michael and his wife reside in West Los Angeles. They enjoy the desert, playing golf, meeting with friends regularly for early morning coffee, walking, hiking and traveling. He also enjoys watching sports, particularly college football.

Melissa Morton was named the second female Managing Director at Gelfand Rennert and Feldman LLC.

because she her team built long-lasting relationships in the business management community.

Melissa specializes in providing clients support and advice forcomplex tax decisions in light of everyday business needs.  Her hands-on approach with both staff and clients ensures everyone has the tools they need to succeed, resulting in the successful representation of some of the world’s biggest entertainers in music, television and film.

With her guidance and mentorship, Melissa has created a strong path for the next generation of female business managers.

Melissa supports charities that have impacted her life including Ride for Kids which works with children with Brain Tumors and Wings for Life, a nonprofit research foundation for spinal cord injuries.

Melissa has also been recognized year after year as one of the industry’s top Business Managers by Billboard, Variety and The Hollywood Reporter.  She is most proud of being honored by the Century City Chamber of Commerce as its Woman of Achievement 2016.

Billed as “The World’s Greatest College Weekend,” Melissa has participated in The Little 500, the largest collegiate bike race in the United States for her Alma Mata Indiana University.

A doting hockey and soccer mom, Melissa, her husband Brian, and their two children live in the South Bay, California.

David D. Lloyd is a Managing Director with the Los Angeles-based Business Management firm Gelfand, Rennert, and Feldman, LLC.

He manages the financial and related business affairs of entertainers and high-net-worth individuals. Mr. Lloyd began his career in 2003 with KPMG in Los Angeles where he worked in the audit division, specializing in banking and retail clients.  In 2005, Mr. Lloyd was asked to be the Lead In-Charge for the audit of the Rolling Stones’ “A Bigger Bang” tour.  This three-year engagement opened Mr. Lloyd’s eyes to the possibility of combining his passion for music with his professional skill set.  In 2008 he joined the business management firm of Provident Financial Management to expand his knowledge and expertise. While there, he acquired valuable experience with rotations in the music publishing and tax departments.  In August of 2010, Mr. Lloyd was hired by NKSFB where he worked with high-profile entertainment clients including Grammy-winning recording artists, producers, talent managers, actors and record labels.  After four years at NKSFB, Mr. Lloyd moved his practice to WG&S, LLP.  In 2019, the firm merged with Gelfand, Rennert and Feldman.  Mr. Lloyd has been recognized as one of the entertainment industry’s top business managers by Variety.

Mr. Lloyd received his Bachelors of Arts in Business Administration from the University of Washington and holds a Masters in Accounting from the University of Southern California.

Adriane Hibbert is a Business Manager and Managing Director of Gelfand, Rennert & Feldman LLC. Adriane was GR&F’s first female Managing Director and has been with the firm for over 33 years.

As a business manager, Adriane oversees the business and financial affairs of her entertainment industry clients, which include musicians, touring clients, actors, producers, directors, music composers and songwriters. As a trusted advisor, Adriane prides herself on maintaining a clean book of records for the myriad of clients she has serviced over the years.

In 2021, Adriane was honored to be named among Variety Magazine’s Business Managers Elite.

Originally from New Jersey, Adriane attended the University of California, Los Angeles where she received a Bachelor of Arts in Economics.

Adriane lives in Los Angeles with her husband, where they love to play golf, hike and root for their beloved Philadelphia Eagles. They have two adult children and are the proud grandparents to three amazing grandkids.

Howard Grossman is the co-founding Partner of the Los Angeles-based multi-family office business management firm WG&S, LLP. He manages the Family Office and Entertainment Division which provides concierge and family office services and advice to national and international high-net-worth individuals, entertainers and owners of intellectual property. Mr. Grossman was a founding partner of Goldman, Lichtenberg, Wasserman and Grossman (“GLWG”), Inc. Founded in 1988, GLWG was a pioneering financial management firm whose diverse services managed the daily financial lives of its high-net-worth clientele. Focused on entrepreneurs, executives, and entertainment industries in Southern and Northern California, and the mid-Atlantic, GLWG was a leader in the development of financial management services to individuals and families. In August 2000, GLWG was acquired by JPMorgan Chase Private Bank, and Mr. Grossman became a managing director of the J.P. Morgan family office group. In June 2003, he took the J.P. Morgan/GLWG entertainment group private and, in 2007, reunited his practice with Eric Wasserman, his partner of more than twenty years. They subsequently founded WG&S. Under their leadership, the firm has added four additional partners, and employs over sixty professionals with offices in Los Angeles and Marin County, California; Wilmington, Delaware and Austin, Texas. Mr. Grossman graduated from the University of California, Berkeley Haas School of Business. He is member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the California Society of CPAs. He sits on the board of the Grammy Foundation and MusiCares.

With almost 30 years of experience, Andrew is a trusted advisor who specializes in comprehensive business management and family office expertise. His education includes a CPA license and a master’s degree in taxation which empower his ability to represent elite clientele – writers, directors, producers, actors, singer-songwriters, entertainment executives, and high-net-worth individuals – navigating complex matters to achieve their short-term and long-term financial goals.

Andrew’s work ethic was borne from selling donuts and newspapers, mowing lawns, and painting sidewalks as a teen. He attributes his success to being able to see industry social and economic trends and pivot accordingly, and is particularly known for his empathy and exceptional listening skills.

In addition to navigating the nuanced financial matters of his clients, Andrew is a dedicated philanthropist supporting The Judy Fund, an organization on a mission to end Alzheimer’s disease dedicated to the late mother of fellow Managing Director Todd Gelfand, and also sits on the Board of Children’s Hospital, and supports Walk MS and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Andrew resides in Beverly Hills, California with his wife, their 2 daughters, and 2 Shih Tzus.

Jeff Gillman is a Managing Director at Gelfand, Rennert & Feldman, LLC., who just celebrated his 35th anniversary with the firm.

 

Jeff works with an eclectic group of entertainment clients including musicians, music composers, actors, directors, producers, and athletes.

 

While enjoying his years at GR&F, Jeff prides himself on the deep business and personal relationships he has nurtured over the years.  As a trusted and treasured mentor to many GR&F employees, Jeff is most proud to have mentored those who have become Managing Directors at GR&F.

 

Originally from New York, Jeff attended the University of Maryland where he received a BS from the College of Business and Management.  Jeff is also a Certified Public Accountant, a member of the AICPA and the California Society of Certified Public Accountants.  Jeff is a past member of the GR&F Executive Committee.

 

Jeff lives in the Los Angeles area with his wife and his three grown children who he is very proud of.

Mike Skeet is a Managing Director at Gelfand, Rennert and Feldman LLC.

Mike has more than 35 years’ experience in the accounting, financial and commercial aspects of the media and entertainment industry with a primary focus on business management within the music industry.

Mike provides general business management and accounting services to music and entertainment clients, many of whom are household names, with a particular focus on worldwide touring. Mike has also specialized in royalty and copyright auditing, catalogue valuations and litigation support within the music sector.

Mike splits his time between the London and Los Angeles offices of GR&F. In addition to providing business management services to his varied client base, he also oversees the touring activities of many US artists touring Europe, as well as overseeing the GR&F London Royalty Audit Department.

He has lectured at many music industry events and conferences and has also appeared as an expert and material witness many times in court in both high-profile divorce cases and commercial music industry-related litigation.

Mike is an industry veteran and has been recognized as a top Business Manager in many publications.

William “Bill” Harper is a Managing Director of Gelfand, Rennert & Feldman LLC. Bill joined the Los Angeles office of GR&F directly after graduating from the University of Southern California in 1979, where he majored in accounting. Bill continued his education while working at GRF, ultimately obtaining his CPA license in 1982. He was made a partner in 1987.

Bill’s roster of high-profile clients includes classic rock groups, film and television personalities and industry executives. He provides his clients with management of their business and financial affairs, as well as providing for their special needs, such as tour accounting or special acquisitions.

Bill provides sound economic advice with the goal of achieving long-term financial well-being for his clients.

Paul Knell, CPA

Paul D. Knell, CPA received his Bachelors degree in Business with a Major in Accounting and a minor in Finance from California State University Long Beach in 1981. He became a Certified Public Accountant in 1984 and spent several years in the public accounting and real estate investment arenas before becoming a Business Manager. In 1985, Paul joined the Business Management firm of Jamner, Pariser & Meschures, and became a Partner in that firm in 1991.

Paul has substantial expertise and experience handling the financial affairs of high income and high net worth personalities, and he has worked with many of the top actors, writers, producers, and directors in Hollywood. Paul has a strong understanding of domestic and international taxation issues, life insurance, contract negotiation, and estate planning. He also has experience in all areas of real estate, having overseen the management of apartment complexes, commercial buildings, office buildings, oil wells, public storage units, and even a bed and breakfast inn. Paul has been successful in guiding his clients’ investments in a multitude of profitable real estate investments throughout the country.

Shane Glass, CPA/PFS is a Managing Director at Gelfand Rennert & Feldman LLC.

Shane provides business management services to recording artists/performers, singer/songwriters, athletes, directors, producers, actors, influencers, entertainers, and executives. Shane has also served as tour accountant for major touring artists all over the world.

Prior to merging his team with Gelfand Rennert & Feldman in 2024, Shane was the President of Business Management at The Colony Group (“TCG”), a nationally recognized independent wealth advisory and business management firm.  Previously, he co-founded and was the managing partner of a boutique business management firm that merged into TCG.  Earlier, he served as a Managing Director at a large international accounting and business management firm.

Shane has been listed as one of The Hollywood Reporter’s Power Business Managers, Billboard’s Top Business Managers, as well as one of Variety’s Business Managers Elite.

He currently holds two master’s degrees: a Master of Accounting from Tulane University and a Master of Business in Taxation from the University of Southern California.

Shane developed and taught a course titled Touring, Tour Accounting and Merchandising at UCLA’s Extension Program. He also taught a course on the Business of Music, which focused on all aspects of the music industry in addition to guest lecturing for other music business courses at UCLA Extension and law schools.

Rick Mozenter is a Managing Director at Gelfand, Rennert and Feldman LLC.

Rick joined the Los Angeles office of GRF in 1991 and was made partner in 1998. Prior to joining GRF, he was employed for eight years by the international accounting firm of Ernst and Young. Rick is a CPA and graduated from Arizona State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting in 1983.

Rick is responsible for managing the business and financial affairs of high-net-worth individuals in all aspects of the entertainment business, with a special focus in the music business. His roster of clients includes international touring artists, singer/songwriters, music producers and record labels, as well as athletes, film personalities and industry executives.

Paul W. Glass, CPA

Paul Glass is a Managing Director at Gelfand, Rennert & Feldman LLC.

Paul has over 40 years of experience leading successful business management firms and providing business management solutions for major touring acts, singer-songwriters, directors, producers, writers, actors, athletes and entertainment executives, many of whom have been his clients for over 30 years. In addition, Paul has consulted on several catalogue sales.

Prior to merging with GR&F, Paul was one of the founding partners of Glass Malek LLP, a business management firm specializing in the entertainment industry. In addition, he served as Chairman of the Board to a publicly traded bank that successfully sold to a large public company. Over the years, Paul has served on the Board of the Directors and as an officer for several charitable organizations.

 

Paul has been recognized as one of Variety Magazine’s Business Manager’s Elite and he currently sits on the Board of several companies.

Alan Goldman, CPA

Alan Goldman is a Managing Director at Gelfand Rennert & Feldman LLC.

Prior to joining GRF, Alan was the founding Partner of Goldman & Knell CPA’s, LLP, a boutique Business Management firm representing individuals and entities in all aspects of the entertainment industry including many Emmy Award winners and members of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. Alan’s practice also includes several high-net-worth families where he oversees and interacts with family offices.

Prior to founding Goldman & Knell, Alan was a partner at Nigro, Karlin & Segal in Century City, California, and has several years of public accounting experience in the tax department of Peat Marwick (KPMG). Alan is a CPA and has a BA from UCLA in Economics with a specialty in Organizational Studies. He also earned his MBA from Pepperdine University.

Alan has a breadth of in-depth experience across multiple practice areas, bringing a detailed micro approach coupled with a macro “big picture” perspective necessary to service clients whose lives and financial matters are typically complex and are rarely “cookie-cutter” or one-dimensional.

Alan has been retained as an expert and consultant by many top litigation firms and has been a guest lecturer at UCLA. He has served on local government committees and is a Past President of University Synagogue. Alan is a member of the California Society of Certified Public Accountants and the AICPA.

Alan lives in Pacific Palisades with his wife Lynda and his niece and nephew. He and Lynda have two older children who reside in the Los Angeles area.

Lisa Robinson is a Managing Director with Gelfand Rennert & Feldman, LLC based in Los Angeles, CA. She has worked in business management for over 35 years.

Prior to joining GR&F, Lisa was a partner at the firm Goldman & Knell, CPA’s, LLP since its inception in 1992. Her tenure in business management has given her the opportunity to work with a wide variety of clients including television, movie, music and family office clientele. Lisa has also had the opportunity to work in production accounting for a wide array of entertainment productions, including made-for-television specials, awards and game shows with budgets ranging from $350K to $25M.
Together with the rest of the business management team at Gelfand Rennert & Feldman, LLC, Lisa works to ensure that the clients’ professional and personal financial lives run smoothly. She works diligently to accommodate each client, tailoring the many services the firm has to offer to their specific needs. She is committed to providing an unparalleled level of service to her clients.
Lisa is lifelong supporter of the Girl Scouts of Greater Los Angeles, where she has been recognized nationally for her contributions. She has also been honored by the LAUSD for her many years of service and is a member of the Aggie Parent Family Association through UC Davis.

An avid cook, Lisa enjoys her time with her dogs, camping and hiking and watching soccer. Lisa resides in West Los Angeles with her husband Tony. Her twin son and daughter are currently attending their sophomore year at college.

Brandon began his professional career as a staff accountant   at GR&F in 2008.  After years of dedicated service moving through the firm in the Los Angeles offices, he was named a Managing Director in 2022.

Brandon has extensive experience in business management and optimizing tax treatments on behalf of his touring artists, actors, writers, directors, influencers, executives, and record labels. He is committed to helping his clients achieve long-term success, and his personalized approach allows each client to focus on their creative pursuits with confidence.

A a graduate of the University of California Berkeley with a degree in Economics, Brandon is a California-licensed CPA as well as an active member of the California Society of CPAs and the MPTF Professional Advisory Network.

A local native to West LA, Brandon enjoys exploring new restaurants as well as attending concerts as often as he can.

Eduardo began his career in business management in 2007 at the firm GLWG, working closely with clients in TV, film, music, and high-net-worth families. Eduardo has been involved in helping clients capitalize on tax incentives in Puerto Rico as well as Australia, advising on the acquisition and sale of businesses, and the sale of music intellectual property. His approach to financial management has earned him the reputation as a trusted advisor to high-net-worth individuals in entertainment, as well as ultra-high-net-worth families.

Originally from Puerto Rico, Eduardo received his Bachelor of Science in Finance from West Chester University in Pennsylvania. Eduardo is fluent in Spanish and is a California-licensed CPA andan active member of the California Society of CPAs. He serves on the Board of the Natalie Cole Foundation, and is a member of City of Hope’s Music, Film, and Entertainment Industry Group Executive Board, as well as the Alesia Alpert Family Foundation.

Eduardo lives in Los Angeles with his wife and enjoys listening to podcasts and playing tennis with his two daughters.

Mario Testani is a Managing Director at Gelfand, Rennert & Feldman LLP.. Mario joined the New York business management practice in 1981, and became a partner in 1988.

His career began with an accounting position at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. He also spent several years on the audit staff of the New York State Comptroller’s office where he performed and supervised audits of Fortune 500 companies, banking organizations and municipalities.

Mario now oversees all aspects of his clients’ financial interests with an emphasis on growth, preservation of capital, and tax considerations. His expertise encompasses television, motion pictures, music royalties, tour accounting, publishing and trademark licensing, as well as other fields in the entertainment industry. His clients have included actors, producers, directors, writers, musicians, managers, fashion designers, CEO’s and attorneys.

Mario graduated Cum Laude from Queens College of the City University of New York where he received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting in 1977. He is certified in the State of New York and is a member of the AICPA and the New York State Society of CPAs.

Mario resides in South Salem, New York with his wife who he met at his first job at Memorial Sloan Kettering in 1977. They have two children: their daughter who graduated from Princeton University and their son who graduated from Carnegie Mellon University. Mario’s interests include travel, cars, motorcycles, antique clocks and outdoor activities.

John Menneci joined Gelfand, Rennert & Feldman (“GR&F”) in 2001 and co-heads GR&F’s Royalty Group, providing several different royalty-related service offerings (music examination, merchandising examination, film/tv examination, valuations, catalog sale consulting, label administration, publishing administration, royalty services and royalty data intelligence). John is based in NY and jointly oversees a staff of over 60 royalty professionals spread across GR&F’s NY, LA and Nashville offices and satellite locations.

John has been specializing in royalty accounting for over 25 years. He started his career working in the royalty department for EMI Music and then transitioned to performing royalty examinations for different types of intellectual property rights holders such as recording artists, songwriters, music publishers and merchandise licensors. John’s experience in conducting royalty compliance audits is vast, as he has represented many of the most successful recording artists and songwriters of all time, as well as some of the largest merchandise licensors throughout the world.

Over the last several years, John has focused his attention overseeing valuation and financial due diligence engagements on behalf of both buyers and sellers of musical assets. His understanding of the complexities and nuances of royalty steams of income, financial modelling techniques, royalty systems and industry trends allow him to provide his clients with deep insight into important considerations related to these transactions.

John received his BS in Management/Finance from S.U.N.Y. Binghamton and his MS in Accountancy from C.U.N.Y. Baruch College. Over the last few years, John has been recognized by Billboard and Variety magazines’ Top Business Manager lists. John also participates in events with a number of industry trade groups including the Association of Independent Music Publishers (AIMP), Licensing Industry Merchandiser’s Association (LIMA) and Trusted Advisor.

Prior to joining Gelfand Rennert & Feldman, Stanley gained experience working at a NY-based boutique business management firm in New York City for 7 years.

Todd is a member of the firm’s Executive Committee, Tax Committee, Internal Finance Committee, and Morale Committee. He has been named a Top Business Manager by Billboard and Variety.

Todd earned his B.S. in accounting and M.S. in taxation from The State University of New York at Albany in 1990. He gained experience in tax matters for artists and entertainers at two separate business management firms before joining the New York office of GR&F in 1993. Todd became a partner of GR&F in 2000.

Born and raised in Queens, New York, Todd currently resides on Long Island with his wife. He enjoys spending time with his family and attending many concerts and sporting events.

Upon graduation from the Stern Business School at New York University, Ron joined the firm on a full-time basis and became a partner in 1988. Ron now serves as the Managing Partner of the GR&F New York and Nashville offices and is a member of the firm’s Executive Committee, where he provides business management, tax, and financial consulting services on a national level to high net worth individuals and high profile entertainers along with their closely-held businesses.

Ron has participated in all areas of the firm’s activities including its developing sports and high net worth practices, with particular concentration in the financial affairs of clients in the fields of music, concert touring, acting, directing, modeling, writing and fashion design. Ron is a member of the firm’s IT and HR committees and plays a leading role in developing and implementing the firm’s strategic growth initiatives.

Ron has been honored as a Top Business Manager by The Hollywood Reporter, Variety, and Billboard. He is a board member of the Leary Firefighters Foundation and an active participant in 914Cares, a Westchester charity where his wife, Linda is a board member.

Rick is involved in the business and financial affairs of his clients who include songwriters, performers, producers, industry executives and athletes. He advises clients on the management of their day-to-day business and financial affairs with the ultimate goal of their long-term financial well-being.

Having qualified as a Chartered Accountant, Jeff began his career in the entertainment industry in 1987, working in the London office of GR&F.

He soon established significant experience in the music business with worldwide “on the road” tour accounting assignments for many top performing artists.

While growing his business management services based in London, Jeff also undertook international royalty audits and other forensic accounting work. This extensive career path has enabled him to provide his clients with advice based on a thorough understanding of their music business activities.

Jeff advises on the accounting and tax affairs of creative talent from the start of their careers throughout their journey to major artists at the peak of their success, encompassing the various business cycles they face.

He is committed to helping his clients plan their financial affairs in line with their goals, while guiding them through the often complex world of the entertainment business. In doing so, he values building long-term relationships.

Mike has more than 35 years’ experience in the accounting, financial and commercial aspects of the media and entertainment industry with a primary focus on business management within the music industry.

Mike provides general business management and accounting services to music and entertainment clients, many of whom are household names, with a particular focus on worldwide touring. Mike has also specialized in royalty and copyright auditing, catalogue valuations and litigation support within the music sector.

Mike splits his time between the London and Los Angeles offices of GR&F. In addition to providing business management services to his varied client base, he also oversees the touring activities of many US artists touring Europe, as well as overseeing the GR&F London Royalty Audit Department.

He has lectured at many music industry events and conferences and has also appeared as an expert and material witness many times in court in both high-profile divorce cases and commercial music industry-related litigation.

Mike is an industry veteran and has been recognized as a top Business Manager in many publications.

Simon Hopkins is a Managing Director at Gelfand, Rennert and Feldman LLC.

Following receipt of his history degree at Durham University, Simon trained as a Chartered Accountant and Chartered Tax Adviser in London. He specialized in cross-border tax with the international accounting firm of Ernst & Young. During this time, Simon dealt with many corporate groups and entrepreneurial businesses ranging from soft drinks businesses, to motorcycle marques, airlines, and of course, music and entertainment clients.

After Simon joined the GR&F team in London, he became more focused on music and entertainment, advising on tax structuring for touring, and vehicles for holding publishing and recording rights. He is responsible for tax advice on sales of these rights alongside transactions in related businesses such as artist management or agencies.

Simon also advises on other personal tax issues, such as remuneration planning, property, trusts, residence, and so on. The residence rules, in particular, present opportunities and pitfalls for his peripatetic client base of musicians, movie stars and executives.

Alongside this client roster, Simon deals with entrepreneurs in diverse business sectors such as footwear, logistics, software and manufacturing.

Ewen MacNeil is a Managing Director of Gelfand, Rennert and Feldman LLC.

Ewen is based out of our London office and has over 25 years’ experience in all aspects of the music industry.

Ewen’s nontraditional career path to GR&F began with him as a chart-bothering touring artist, world traveling DJ, to a stint at A&R for a major label, to in-house accountant for an internationally renowned concert promoter. Ewen then ventured into the world of business management when he joined what is now the GR&F London office in 2014.

Ewen is a qualified Fellow of the Association of Chartered and Certified Accountants (ACCA) in the UK.  He specializes in full business management and international touring services, building a varied client roster that includes developing artists, established international stars, promoters, agents, and managers, along with internationally renowned actors and several sports people.

Ewen is also a Governor of East London Arts and Music (ELAM), a full-time industry academy that provides opportunity for young people who are interested in pursuing a career in music, film, television production and game design.

Ewen is a keen runner having completed several full and half marathons.
